Jeanne is scheduled for a Hemicolectomy (removing the right side of her colon) on Friday Nov 22nd. This is occuring because of the formation of multiple precancerus colon polyps that continue to develop. Jeanne has had frequent colonoscopies ( poor woman!) and been closely monitored by her Drs. It was decided that this is the best way to prevent colon cancer from developing. Jeanne will be in the hospital 3-4 days. Most likely will not be up for visitors, but once she is home, we will keep you updated on when that can occur. She will have a limited diet initially, but I am sure she and my dad will appreciate some meals once they are home. We will let you know, and thank you in advance! This site will be updated by Leslie and Laura and Jeanne when she's able to. Leslie will be there for the surgery (flying up from LA) as well as Ted who now lives only a little over 2 hours away in Nevada. You all know how much friends and family mean to Jeanne so please be assured your messages will be shared, and she will love reading them.
