Jeanne was diagnosed with Stage IV Gallbladder cancer in June of 2021. This diagnosis was unexpected and a shock to all. Jeanne was originally given a prognosis of 18 months with chemotherapy treatment. However, an infection complicated matters after her first round of chemotherapy and shortened her prognosis drastically. After collecting all of the information about her illness and treatment options, discussion with family, and prayer, Jeanne made the decision to cease treatment and live the rest of her time at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Jeanne passed away in her sleep at about 10 PM on August 7th surrounded by her family. This happened more quickly than expected, but Jeanne is no longer suffering and we have some peace knowing that.
Jeanne's celebration of life has been scheduled for Friday, September 24th from 3-7 PM CT at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home (516 S. Washington St, Naperville, IL 60540).
