Thanks for visiting my page. We will be sure to post updates as I get closer to transplant and then post op as well.

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with ADPKD (autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease) while playing lacrosse at Harvard in 1998. I have been prepared for the time when I would need a kidney transplant and began the search for a living donor in 2016.

Many people- some that I know and others who I don't know or who did so anonymously- were amazing to get worked up to see if they could donate. A true outpouring of the best in humanity. One of my nurses at VCA South Shore, Katlyne Velasquez, revealed that she was my donor on February 14, 2018.

Surgery is set for September 25th, a day before my 41st birthday. Although I don't feel horrible right now, I know I will feel much better after transplant and look forward to years of improved health made possible by the kindness of others.
