Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Late this summer, I was diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder. I was referred to Dana Farber Cancer Institute and it was determined that I would need a stem cell transplant. My sister, Linda, is my donor. Despite my best efforts to organize this all the best I could according to my own preconceived plan, everything fell apart. I had scheduled appointments on Jan. 8th at Dana Farber. After initial blood work it was determined that the bone marrow disorder had converted to leukemia. I was admitted to Brigham and Women's Hospital for at least 4 weeks. I have already completed the 7 day course of chemotherapy.
