Jean Johnstad slipped while unloading groceries and fractured her proximal humerus on December 5, 2016. That bone is at the top of her left arm directly at the shoulder socket. She was assessed in St. Elizabeth's emergency room in her new hometown, Wabasha, MN. Then she was transported to Mayo hospital for further observation and testing. On Friday, Dec 9, she moved to Jones- Harrison in Minneapolis where she undergoes acute rehabilitation. There are no details on her length of stay at this point.
