Hi Everyone, Mom went into the hospital about two weeks ago for an infection that was ultimately resolved. She had to stay a few days longer with some increasing pain and confusion, that we originally thought was related, but at this point, we don't believe was related. After trying to tough it out back at home for a few days, she ultimately needed to be taken to Essentia where her condition got much worse. Her vitals have been sporadic at different parts of the day, and she is in a lot of pain, and very confused. After a ton of testing, the doctors have narrowed down what they believe the problem to be, which is possibly liver failure, resulting from years of rheumatoid arthritis medication. We are currently waiting for the results of her liver biopsy, which will determine what our next steps are, which may include a liver transplant. It's been a tough and scary situation that we are trying to process, as all outcomes are on the table and we have feared the worst more than once. We greatly appreciate your support, and the support of the nurses and doctors that we have been working with. Please pray for mom and keep us in your thoughts.
