Welcome to Jean’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

As some of you know, Mom was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee, MN on January 23, 2019. She was suffering from dehydration with having the stomach flu. Through more testing at the hospital,  it was then that they discovered that Mom had cancer that had spread to her liver.

The next day a chest CT was done which showed the source of the cancer.  The cancer started in her lung, spread to her lymph nodes, and liver.

After a biopsy and a couple MRI’s, Mom was diagnosed with “extensive small cell lung cancer.”  The lower back MRI showed cancer in that area as well.

Mom starts chemotherapy tomorrow (February 11th) along with immune therapy drugs at the cancer center at St. Francis. As a family, we are staying very positive and are calling on the power of prayer.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting Mom’s caring bridge. 💜
