Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On May 11th, the day after celebrating Mother's Day, Jaynell found out that she has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had metastasized to the liver and lungs. There had been only minor symptoms, so this came as a shock to her and her whole family. Being a woman of strong faith, it was more sadness than fear that overcame her. Turning to Jesus in trust and surrender she began having special encounters with the Lord during very early morning times of prayer and reflection. She has experienced a lot of peace and feels very loved by the Father. She continues to be a witness of proclaiming the GOODNESS OF GOD and she feels so blessed by all the love, prayers and support from her friends and family. On May 21st a stent was put in the bile duct to relieve stress on the pancreas. It was an outpatient procedure that seemed to go well but that night she began experiencing excruciating pain and had to return to the ER.  She was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and admitted to the hospital for an overnight stay. She returned to the oncologist for a follow up on May 26th and he assured her once again that whatever she decides about treatment he will support her. From the start of her diagnosis, she has been leaning towards not doing the chemotherapy. She is enjoying spending time with her loved ones and is looking forward to seeing her family and friends that are planning their visits from out of town starting on Monday. Jaynell, Johnny, Jason, and Jayne met with Hospice on Friday, May 29th to be more informed on what they offer. That evening Jaynell and Johnny were able to go to a Holy Spirit Novena Mass and healing service. They received prayer ministry through Fr. Anthony Odiong and enjoyed an evening of praise and worship and resting in God's goodness and love. She will be returning to the oncologist next week to discuss the plan to move into the next phase of this journey. The family is so thankful for your love and prayer support as they face the uncertainties of tomorrow.

But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him".... 1 Cor 2:9
