Jayden Alexander

First post: Jan 9, 2016 Latest post: Apr 12, 2016
Saturday, January 2nd started off like any other day however ended terrible.

After back to back basketball games, Jayden built up an appetite. The boys, Michael - Dad, Michael - 14 and Jayden 9 went to Buffalo Wild Wings followed by McDonald's for some ice cream on the way home.  Jennifer - Mom and Doloria 14 departed after the game and went shopping.

When Jayden got home he started to complain of a headache and a weird sensation in his left arm and leg. Moments later Jayden collapsed. He was rushed to CMH South. It was determined Jayden had a significant bleed in his brain an hour in.

He was rushed to Children's Mercy on Gillham from CMH South and emergently admitted.  Everything seemed so rushed however Jayden's arrival at CMH on Gillham was carefully orchestrated. The ambulance entrance was full of Doctors, Nurses, Assistants and even and Chaplin wating on Jayden's arrival. He was guided into a fully prepared room where Jayden was hooked up to one monitor after another.

You can never fully prepare for a sentence that will completely stop everything: "Jayden is non responsive with a significant bleed in his brain." A Brain AVM in his front parietal lobe.

Our hearts are deeply saddened yet we have never been more prepared to take on the challenging road ahead.

Your prayers are coveted as we continue on this journey.
