This is a easy way to keep everyone updated. This past Friday Jason started experiencing tingling and numbness in his toes. By Saturday it had started moving up his legs. He was on his motorcycle that day even. By Sunday he was feeling real weak and had trouble walking. Monday the numbness and tingling was up to his chest and was experiencing pain and muscle spasms. We went to the Dr and his c.t and bloodwork was normal except his vit d was low, she thought maybe that was the problem and sent him home with a Neuro referral and mri for may 3rd. No sleep Monday night, extreme pain and not being able to walk by Tuesday. So I took him to the er and after a long day they have decided he has Guillian-Barre Syndrome. His autoimmune system is attacking his nervous system. They are no tests to say that is it for sure, but they are ruling everything else out. They think because he has had a respiratory infection for the last month, this is where it started. Tuesday night he started the 5 day treatment and handled it well. Today (Wednesday) he is weaker and still is in pain, numbness hasn't chanced. No better no worse. He had a lumbar puncture today to rule out ms and lymes. We will find out those results within the next few days. He will be in the hospital for 5+ days. I will continue updating as I can. Prayers would be greatly appreciated! We will make it through this Jason is a fighter, it may be a long road but we will conquer!
