Jason Saunders (age 10) was experiencing shortness of breath and a sore throat recently. After attending school on February 9th, 2016, he had an X-ray of his chest and abdomen which showed a large mass in his chest and other smaller masses in some of his organs. Jason was admitted to a hospital in his hometown, Charlotte, NC. The next morning, the family was told they urgently needed to be transferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Jason was then flown by jet to Memphis and went directly to the ICU at St. Jude's. After the initial procedures and testing Jason was diagnosed with T-cell ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Jason was intubated early on in the ICU and was asleep for the first 4 days at St. Jude's. Jason and his mom and dad will stay in Memphis for the first several weeks of treatment and will eventually be traveling back and forth between Charlotte and Memphis. Jason's 13 year old sister and the families' dog are in the care of extended family back home in Charlotte. This site will serve to keep family and friends up to date on his treatment and recovery.

While in Memphis, Jason and his parents can receive mail at the following address:
