Jason Ramstad (also known as Teddy by many of you) has been going through some health complications recently.  On Sunday night, he was brought in to Sanford on Broadway due to some excess fluid/swelling in his legs.  
 


On Tuesday night (Aug 15), Teddy aspirated and went into respiratory/cardiac arrest for about 5 minutes while at Sanford on Broadway.  He was given CPR and shocked back to life quickly.  He was then sedated, placed on a ventilator in stable condition and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.  



All his tests and labs came in fine.  The medical staff has been doing "sedation vacation" once a day to slowly ween him of the sedatives, ventilator and assess his brain activity.  He is able to wake up, move all extremities, breathe on his own, and respond to commands for short periods of time.  Doctors and medical staff are cautiously moving him away from these things, but are also monitoring all organ functions to ensure they are working in collaboration and not damaged after the respiratory/cardiac event.


While Teddy isn't out of the woods yet, the power of prayer and positive thoughts is doing wonders.  My family is overwhelmed by the support, well wishes and prayers that so many of you have provided over the last few days!  It is going to be a long road ahead, so we will provide updates as we can.


Please continue to spare those prayers and well wishes--hopefully they will get Teddy back healthy sooner versus later.   Bison Football Season is coming soon...
