My mom has asked that I start a caringbridge as an easy way for friends and family to check on my mom. Two weeks ago my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It is very likely it is cancer. It is the size of a golf ball and it rests on the left side of the brain which controls speech function. After meeting with two surgeons in Sac and trying to be seen in San Fran the decision was made to come down to Los Angeles and treat there. We are in Los Angeles now. We met a neurosurgeon from Cedars yesterday. He is setting up appts with his team and we start those appt. today. My mom is in good spirits. Even though they are not at their home, they are staying with my family so they do have a place to stay. Feel free to reach out to her here.
