Janice's journey began in the Fall of 2015 when she was diagnosed with Nodal Marginal zone B-Cell Lymphoma, which is a slow growing type of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma that develops when B-cells (also called B-lymphocytes) become abnormal. The doctors decided on a treatment plan that started with Chemo once a month and were hopeful that this would slow Janice's cancer down.  Although there were days of fatigue after each round of chemo, we were all rejoicing as she began responding well to the treatment. 

By January of 2016 her blood count was off again and she was hospitalized until it improved.  Treatment was continued with several ups and downs.  In April, a biopsy was done on her Thyroid and the results of the biopsy came back benign! 

In June of 2016, Janice went in for her 3-month check-up and all was well.  Blood test and CT scans were perfect.  The cancer returned to a point to where chemo was again needed in the summer of 2017.   All was well until March of 2018 when the cancer returned again.  An oral cancer drug was used and it worked....life returned to normal.  The hope was to take it for the rest of life.  However, the cancer morphed into a fast growing aggressive large B cell lymphoma. At the beginning of 2019..  The cancer has become chemo resistant over the long haul so the only real option left was for a T-cell treatment...which is where we are now in Denver at the University of Colorado.  God has been with us every step of the way and we are so appreciative of your prayers and support!
