Janice was diagnosed with breast cancer, specifically, Ductal Carcinoma in situ (DCIS), on March 19, 2018. On March 29, we met with a medical oncologist and learned that the cancer is Stage 0, non-invasive with a favorable prognosis. Her treatment plan so far is surgery, radiation, and 5 years of Tamoxifen. It is still early in the journey, and I'm sure there will be frequent updates in the weeks ahead as she sees the surgeon and the radiation oncologist.
