Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  A Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend and lover of charitable causes, Janice loves great food, good conversation, being surrounded by her family and exploring new ideas and places. Her favorite activity is doing something that provides joy to others. We hope that you will join her as she continues her journey to healing.  In October 2019, Janice was diagnosed with a form of cancer called Multiple Myeloma, which affects the bones and blood. With the help of her team of doctors and family, she immediately began Phase 1 of the healing process, Chemotherapy, one week before Thanksgiving.     Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.     ~Jeremiah 17:14   Janice has responded rapidly to the treatment and almost 2 months ahead of the doctors' schedule! She has been approved for Phase 2 of her treatment which requires a Stem Cell Transplant. Phase 2 has two parts-- stem cell harvest and then the actual transplant. The harvest process begins Feb.14 and ends Feb 20 as an outpatient. She will be at home recovering until March 9 when the stem cell transplant will occur. For the transplant, she will be incubated in the hospital for 3-4 weeks, as to limit her exposure to infection.  Charles will be at the hospital with Janice for the length of her treatment. We will be working regularly to update family and to keep the site updated on her healing.    He said, "If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands  and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."  ~ Exodus 15:26 March 9th officially begins Phase 2, when Janice will be checked in to the hospital. Please follow this site regularly for updates and visiting restrictions.  Please share your words of encouragement and your prayers so that we can blanket her in the comfort of love and support from family and friends. We appreciate you and thank you for visiting.
