Welcome to our CaringBridge website for our mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and dear friend, Janice Aiello Hasler. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. As you may know, Janice was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in the beginning of March 2018. She had surgery a few days later at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and was transferred to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for rehabiliaton therapy. Janice returned to her home in Bradenton at the end of March, where she is being cared for by her loving husband Dave, with help from family members and friends. She is planning to undergo both chemotherapy and radiation treatment in nearby Sarasota beginning the first or second week of April. Dave will greatly appreciate friends who have a little time to sit and visit with Jan to give him a break to run errands, etc. However, as the therapy and treatment schedule has not yet been established, we are holding off opening up the calendar for scheduling to account for these appointments.  In addition, in the coming weeks, Jan and Dave would love to welcome the meals that so many of you have generously offered, but will hold off a bit as family is in town and they are still adjusting to being home - we will update this site and send out an email when the timing would be best to accept such help . My family would like to thank everyone for the kind words, prayers, visits, cards, flowers and gifts - we are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for Jan. She has been able to read your cards and she loves being surrounded by all of the beautiful flower arrangements. Please know that while Dave has not had the opportunity to personally respond or thank everyone for  their generosity, he is extremely appreciative and hopes to be able to thank everyone when the time is right. In addition, Jan is now experiencing some difficulty using and responding via text, Facebook and email, so correspondence to her via messages on this site may be ideal. Thank you for surrounding Jan with your prayers and love - she continually expresses how much she appreciates all of your good thoughts, and it is giving her strength to continue this challenging journey.  And lastly, please feel free to share this site with anyone we may have missed.
