In 2005 Jan was diagnosed with breast cancer on her left breast. After a full mastectomy in which cancer was found on all her under-arm lymph nodes, Jan went through chemo and radiation. She then maintained a cancer-free life under 10 years of hormone therapy.
In June 2017, Jan went in to her oncologist to explore some lumps in the left side of her neck. After multiple scans and biopsies, the breast cancer was found to have returned in her left neck, as well as the lymph node under her right arm.
This journal is meant to provide updates to to anyone interested in following Jan's journey. This journey is a marathon - not a sprint. Please feel welcome to share this site and leave Jan and her family words of encouragement.
