Janet Von Seggern

Janet's story is a little hard to explain, since currently the doctors really do not have any medical answers for her quick and recent decline in health.  After suffering a major stroke in 2010, Janet has either lived in her own home (6 years) or at an assisted living facility (past 2 years).  She has been able to walk with assistance and she has been cognitively strong. She still enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as candy, tea, spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending birthday parties, and spending holidays with her family.  Although she doesn't like to talk on the phone, she does a pretty good job keeping in touch with her family and friends.   For the past year, we have witnessed an increase in her complaint of left leg pain but, all in all, her health has remained pretty stable since her stroke 8 years ago.
