On November 9th, 2016, after days of back pain, Janet went into the ER to have it looked at. While there, they did a CT Scan and found a tumor on the duodenum. She met with her cancer doctor, Dr. Kuzman and her surgeon, Dr. Timmerman at the end of November in Sioux Falls to get a plan in place. The plan would result with her being on a chemo pill to shrink the tumor before it would be surgically removed. The tumor ended up shrinking just a little under half it's size and didn't show any change in June, so it was time to have surgery. Janet met with Dr. Timmerman and surgery is scheduled for July 10th in Sioux Falls.
Janet is a fighter and is a 9 year survivor of Breast Cancer. We all know that she will have a successful surgery, however, prayers are strongly requested. We know that Vonna (Janet's Mom), is watching over her as her guardian angel and will make sure everything goes well.
