Starting on Sunday, April 17th Jane came down with a high fever, weakness and leg pain. By Thursday the fever hadn't broken so she went to the ER where Doctors discovered that her white blood cell levels were extremely low. That is when the journey and challenge began. Doctors have diagnosed her with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). We plan to treat aggressively and are hopeful for a speedy recovery.
Jane is currently at the Mayo Clinic where she will most likely be for the next 6 weeks during her chemotherapy to protect her immune system. There are many scary days ahead but we are hopeful and faithful through this season.
