Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
On Friday 4/24/2020 Jane had a Celebellar stroke.  She was taken to the ER at Mayo in La Crosse, WI.  The following morning, Jane received her diagnosis.  She is having difficulty walking and swallowing, but as of 4/29 the doctors say she is making good progress on her rehabilitation.  On Tuesday 4/28, Ben, her husband, was able to take her to Rochester Mayo to receive continued rehab in their stroke unit.  The doctor says that she is making progress quickly, so hopefully will not have to be there "too long".  Jane is making progress and is in good hands. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she has not been able to have visitors.  Jane is pretty fatigued most days, but the doctor says that it is good for her sleep and helps her to heal. We will update the website as often as possible to share in her progress. Please feel free to leave a message and send her good wishes.  Jane says that the doctors and nurses have been good to her and we are thankful that she is being well taken care of. Thank you everyone for your support and continued support through this time.  We hope to have Jane home soon.  Hope everyone is taking care of themselves and their loved ones during this difficult time.
