Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. As many of you know I am going into Weill Cornell Medical Center on January 5th to begin my journey of receiving a bone marrow transplant.  The actual transplant is scheduled for January 12 with chemo and radiation preparation prior to the 12th.  I am told that the first three weeks are the hardest and I might not be able to reach out to each of you individually but I do want to keep you updated as much as possible.  Your support and positive thoughts have helped me stay positive throughout this long and winding road.  I plan on staying strong, positive and not getting sick -- I am not good at being nauseous.  It is anticipated that I will be spend one month in the hospital and another two or three weeks at the Hemsley NY Presbyterian Hotel connected to the hospital.  Then I will stay in a corporate apartment close to Daniel and my brother and sister for a month or so in Westchester.  I will be permitted visitors in the hospital as long as they are not sick.  All are welcome to stop by.  Hugs to all.  Jane
