Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Here is Jane's story...
We are just a few of the many people who love Jane and the entire Boyle Family! If you have met Jane, even just once, you know just how amazing she is. If you live in Havertown, you will find her on the sidelines cheering on one of her kid's soccer or basketball games - chatting it up with anyone and everyone. You may find her husband Mike at the Haverford YMCA or coaching Jack's soccer game. Or you may find them together at a local restaurant with family, or laughing away the night in a friend's kitchen.
A few weeks ago Jane began to have blurred in her left eye. This lead to multiple appointments with her PCP and ophthalmologist who decided to pursue an MRI to evaluate the cause of her symptom. March 31, 2022, Jane received some devastating news, the MRI revealed a complex growth which is intertwined and wrapped around her optic nerves and internal carotid artery of her brain. This growth is very complex and her team of physicians are undecided if this is a craneopharyngioma or pituitary adenoma. Both of these potential diagnoses are benign and her doctors are optimistic, but the journey will be a long and winding road.
On Monday, May 2nd, Jane will undergo surgery to remove the tumor at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She will possibly undergo radiation therapy for any remnants of the tumor post surgery. Her recovery is expected to be several months. Any meal, gift card, or monetary donation will help this beautiful woman and her family. Please keep Jane and her family in your thoughts & prayers.
