As most of you know, Mom was diagnosed with Renal Carcinoma in 2007 after it was discovered while scanning her for another issue.  God is Good and He protected Mom by showing the doctors the tumor which often goes undetected until it is too late. At that time they removed her left kidney and she remained cancer free for 5 years.  


In 2012 the renal carcinoma returned this time to her spine, again discovered while looking for something else.  God continued to protect her and show the doctors while it could be contained.  That tumor was removed followed by radiation treatments.   Mom remained cancer free for almost 5 more years.  Dr. Pati, Mom's oncologist told her he would like to get a scan of her spine just to be safe.  Sure enough the spine was fine, but they noticed a tumor in the right kidney.  Again God was in control and still protecting Mom by leading him to order the scan and allowing the doctor to notice the abnormality in the remaining kidney.


Mom's urologist immediately told her that there was a world renowned urology cancer surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic where he wanted to send her to be evaluated.  Dr. Steven Campbell is definitely doing God's work.  We have been so impressed by this extraordinary man and surgeon.  He immediately won Mom over and gained her trust as well as mine and Sandra's.  Sine Mom saw him the first visit, he has called her on her cell directly to check on her and update her regarding further tests to be ordered, and then to discuss the results.


Everywhere we go here in Cleveland at the clinic, when we mention Dr. Campbell, the response is, "oh you've got the very best there is taking care of you."  Having that confidence in him, along with faith in God, Mom has remained remarkedly calm and positive.   That in itself is a Blessing because understandably after the 3rd  episode of cancer, it is difficult not to worry.  We have all prayed for faith and peace that God has this and He has placed Mom in the right placard with the right surgeon.  After all He is the great Physician and he has a purpose and a plan.


Thank you all for your love, concern and prayers for Mom, Pop, and our entire family.  God has truly Blessed Mom and all of us and we praise Him for it and for each of you.  Mom, Sandra and I have all felt this spirit and protection as we have been here in Ohio, especially this trip.
