On September 10, 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer that has metastasized to the bones through the lymph nodes. This is different than bone cancer. That said, there is no cure for breast cancer in the bone, but can be lived with for along, long time when it is controlled properly. My treatment started with endocrine therapy/ hormone therapy. This entailed shots to put me into menopause and also a bone strengthening drug. After about a month of endocrine/hormone therapy, tests showed that my cancer was not estrogen sensitive and I had my first of 12 chemo treatments on October 19th. Thank you for all the prayers and support!
