Monday, Nov. 13th, 2017 I was officially diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: cancer of my nose and throat. It has spread and I now have multiple tumors on both sides of my neck.
Treatment, as of now, will take place every day, (Monday-Friday), for 7 weeks. In order to beat this, I will be doing both chemotherapy and radiation. After which, I will probably endure more chemotherapy treatments.
As absolutely terrifying as this is, I know that I have amazing humans in my life who love and support me and are pushing me to be a survivor! We got this! 💪🏽
I’m using this site and blog to connect with everyone and to make sure anyone can reach out and check in on me. Even on bad days I will try to keep people updated; even if that means family or friends having to give the update.
I am in for a long tough journey but 5 days a week for 7 weeks is only 35 days. Doesn’t seem so terrible that way, right? 35 days to start this journey off and I know that with everyone’s love, words of support and successful stories shared I will stay tough, resilient and as positive as I can be! 🖤🦄
