Jamie Reginelli

On Friday, August 12th, Jamie went in to Enloe Hospital for what was supposed to be a simple gall bladder removal surgery.  Jamie had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia which caused her blood pressure to drop drastically.  This caused her to have a heart attack.  Her heart stunned and they had to shock her with the defibrillator to get her heart going again.

Jamie is in critical condition in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.  She is on full life support  Her heart is working at only 15% and is on a pump.  She is hooked up to a ventilator to breathe.  She is connected to numerous tubes and is completely sedated.  Her cardiologist- who has been a cardiologist for 35 years- said he has NEVER seen anything like this.  He has no idea what is going on.

This morning (Sunday, August 14th) Jamie came briefly out of sedation and was able to answer a few yes or no questions (which means her brain function is good) before being sedated again.

All her stats are good, there are no blockages in her heart,  but the doctors are currently at a loss to know why she is not improving.  

Please pray for Jamie.  

Please pray for wisdom for the doctors.  Please pray that they get some answers and that Jamie will begin to improve.  If Jamie does not improve, they will have to send her down to Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento- which would mean that the situation is very dire.  So pray that there will be improvement before that happens.

Please also pray for Mario as he is trying to keep everything together, be an advocate for his wife and navigate through the emotional ups and downs hand in hand with his kids.  Pray for the kids, that they will have peace in the midst of this terrible storm, and that they would be able to process all the emotions that go with this situation.
