Jamey was diagnosed with colon cancer on January 3rd, 2018.  Since then, he had a 6.5 hour surgery (Jan 12th) to remove a softball sized tumor from his colon.  He recovered quickly from that and has been doing well.  The surgeon, Dr. George Angelos felt he removed the cancerous mass entirely and that is was all encapsulated.  There were 25 lymph nodes removed with the tumor and out of the 25 ... only 1 had cancer cells.  It was then decided that Jamey should receive chemotherapy to eliminate any cancer cells that may have spread.  Today (Feb. 5th) was his first infusion (IV) dose of chemotherapy.  It went well and we pray that this path will lead him to a full recovery and that he will be cured.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  We thank God everyday that we have been blessed with such wonderful friends and family in our lives.
