Jamey Gifford

Hello,  Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  Jamey lost his battle with cancer and passed on 2/17/18.  It is a sad day.  Final arrangements are being made.  We ask that you keep Jamey and his family, wife Terri, son's and other loved ones in your prayers.  Son's Dano and wife Sam and their beautiful daughter T, as well as son Steven and Angi.   May God Bless you all.




 Jamey was diagnosed with Cancer on November 13,2017 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  I am writing this on December 11,2017.  Jamey has had a full week.  He is currently at the U of I.  The cancer has attacked Jamey's tongue and throat.  This has  required a couple procedures.  Both a tracheotomy and a P tube have been necessary to insure Jamey can breath and get nourishment.   He is currently planning radiation treatment starting next week.  We are very hopeful he will be heading home tomorrow.  Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.   Thank you.

UPDATE:  Jamey went home about a week before Christmas.  He was back to the U of I for a radiation treatment the week before the holidays and is back home.  Jamey's bone biopsy has come back positive,  and his cancer is considered Stage 4.  Jamey's diagnosis and prognosis is extremely grave.  Please keep Jamey and his family in your thought's and prayers.    


UPDATE:  Jamey is at home.   At this point, he is willing to have visitors.  This disease and the treatment is draining.  Please reach out and let Teri or Jamey know you would like to stop by.
