Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Jim and his wife Nicki live in Auburn, IN and was in Covington, LA visiting a friend for his birthday.  On November 16, 2019 they went to lunch with the friend and while there Jim starting having a severe headache.  The staff called 911 and he was rushed to St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington where they determined that he had a brain bleed and needed treatment that they could not perform.  Jim was then airlifted to Ochsner Medical in New Orleans and had emergency surgery to remove a slightly larger than golfball sized clot near his brain and they put a tube in the top of his skull.

On Sunday 11.17.19 after removing the breathing tube Jim was able to recognize Nicki, his 3 children, and his friend LT.  All very good steps and the staff at Ochsner was very pleased with his progress.  He responded to verbal commands and yet it was to early to tell what if any long term issues he may have.

On Monday 11.18.19 Jim has had difficulty breathing, and it was determined that he has developed pneumonia, and is unable to swallow.  Hundreds of friends and family from all over the country have been reaching out to Nicki and LT to get updates.  Please continue to pray for Jim, his caregivers and his family.

Feel free to leave comments for the family to read.  Your care, concern and prayers have been of great comfort.
