Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As many of you know, Osteosarcoma has been found in James’ leg . Pathology said confirmed 100% Osteosarcoma. James will be treated at Arnold Palmer. The chief of pediatric oncology will be taking care of James. He is reviewing the MRI of the foot/ankle to verify what's happening there, a CT Scan of his chest to again verify the lungs are good to set the schedule for the first round of chemotherapy on Monday. This whole process should last 33 weeks and delay James’ September start at FAU. The McCoy Family has enjoyed some private time this weekend as a family. Please keep James and all of the McCoy family in your prayers for healing and God given strength to face this journey which entails chemo, radiation and knee replacement... Today the port has been placed and he is embarking on his first hospital stay which will last until Thursday. We know James is in very good hands , we pray for the physicians who are treating his condition for wisdom and decisiveness. Many have volunteered for meals and lawncare , I am sure there are other unforeseen needs.
