Jimmy is 47 years old and is waiting for a liver transplant. He was last released from ICU after a 5 day stay on 4/9/17, having been placed on a ventilator after an esophageal varices ruptured, infiltrating into his lungs so that he had to be suctioned and intubated as well as causing significant blood loss which necessitated he receive 4 units of whole blood. Jimmy is a hard worker, a stand up friend, a loving brother, an awesome life partner for Jackie, and in general is a stand up authentic good guy. He previously worked as a paramedic, routinely assisting those who were seriously injured or critically ill. Having contracted a medication-resistant type of Hepatitis C which has been further complicated by his liver becoming severely cirrhotic, Jimmy is now the one in need of all of our prayers, encouragement and support as he waits on the lifesaving medical intervention of a liver transplant.
