Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Lisa and I are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
On January 31st, 2020, our lives took an unexpected course change. We were looking forward to a big family vacation to Costa Rica in a couple of days. We had been planning this trip for a year or so. Leah and Christy were flying home to Orlando the next day and we were flying out together soon thereafter.

At 4 am after getting up for a quick potty break, I was settling back into bed for a few more hours sleep and yanked up the covers, when I was blinded by a lightening storm of pain in my left arm. After a trip to the ER, it turned out I had broken my left arm humerus. Of course it is not normal to break your arm pulling up the bedsheets. It turned out there was a tumor in the bone, making it weak. After many doctor visits and tests, it was determined this is a soft tissue sarcoma in the arm that had impacted the humerus bone.

We are now embarking on a treatment plan that will proceed for a number of months and will involve chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatments. Thank you in advance for your prayers, positive thoughts and support during this journey. We could not do it without you! We will attempt to post ongoing updates to keep everyone informed of our progress. Thank you for visiting our site.
