Andy and I arrived in Dallas on Saturday November 19. We were visiting our son Brian and his family. On Sunday November 20 about 5pm, I noticed that Andy was sitting on the couch leaned back with labored breathing and called to him getting no response. Brian ran to him and felt no pulse as Andy arched back. Brian told me to call 911, and he put Andy on the floor and started CPR. He was able to resuscitate him, and as the emergency team arrived Andy started another episode. EMS took over and transported him to Baylor, Scott, White Centennial Hospital.  Since his admission, the doctors have been doing tests to determine the best treatment. On Weds Nov 23rd,  he was transferred to Baylor Heart Hospital because the doctors thought The Heart Hospital could better meet his needs.

His heart is weak and there is liver and kidney damage. His liver and kidney function is improving and the team of doctors are waiting to see more improvement before a further treatment path is chosen. I have tried to keep friends apprised but want to make sure that we are able to keep everyone up to date with the latest information.  We have started a Caring Bridge site, so that all of our friend can get the latest updates.  He is in good hands at Baylor Heart Hospital of Plano.  Thank you for your prayers and concerns!
