Jake McCord

Jake moved to Ames, Ia on August 1st with Savanna Cowles.  Jake was going back to Iowa State University to fulfill his dream of becoming a Civil Engineer.  On the first day of classes Jake had a late class (5pm-6pm), after class he had made arrangements to see an old friend.  As many of you know Jake likes to long board, but had not been doing a lot of it at home.  He went out with his friend for a quick ride since Savanna was waiting at home to have dinner.  The accident occurred right around 6:30 pm.  His friend knew it was serious and called 911.  Jake was immediately transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.  He has a traumatic brain injury with most of the damage in the frontal lobe.  After 5 days in the ICU he was transferred to a neurology floor.  As of
