We appreciate all the well wishes and thanks for visiting. It has been a very rough time for all of us. Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer back in April. Unfortunately the cancer has spread into his arteries and left lung. It is also threatening to protrude into the portal vein which drains out of his liver. Luckily we were able to have him transferred up to UW Medical Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for his treatment options. Upon the initial diagnosis, dad was quickly schedule do have five days of radiation treatment at the University in hopes of shirking some of the growths that were threatening to block his arteries. He took those in stride with with the only real side effect being extreme exhaustion. For anyone that knows dad he doesn’t like to take naps, so this is a bit of a downer.
