Last weekend Jaden was out of breath while running on the treadmill.  He had a normal weekend as usual but by Tuesday morning he was once again complaining of shortness of breath.  We took him to his primary care physician for a checkup later that morning. His doctor took an X-ray and it was at that time they referred us to the ER at Community South Hospital for additional testing.   A CAT scan at Community South revealed his left lung was almost completely filled with fluid.  They inserted a tube to immediately start draining the fluid off his lung and he was  transferred by ambulance to Riley's Hospital for Children.  On Thursday,  the doctors performed a biopsy of his lung and bone marrow.  Jaden had to endure this without anesthesia.  On Friday,  February 24, 2017 Jaden was diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoblastic Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Jaden will start chemotherapy on Monday,  February 27, 2017.  He will remain in the hospital for the first 30 days,  while receiving aggressive chemotherapy treatment.  Further treatment will continue for a year and then maintenance treatment lasting for two more years, all of which will occur at home.  There is at least an 85% recovery rate with this treatment for this diagnosis.

We are all shocked beyond belief and still reeling from this horrible diagnosis but have no doubt we will get through this, together.  Please pray for Jaden and his little brother Cody.
