Jacquelyn Eloise Wesly, 88, of Kennedy Heights, transitioned on the morning of Friday July 30, 2021. Ms. Mickey, as she was affectionately known to many, passed peacefully in her sleep at Kenwood Terrace Care Center in Kenwood, Ohio.
Her late parents Marguerite Eloise (Weezy) & Edward Williams were married on December 15, 1974. She married the late Laurence Jerome Moyé in 1956 and they lived in Kennedy Heights. Ms. Mickey is survived by several family members including her two sons Loren Jerome Moyé of San Francisco, California and Steven Todd Moyé of Cincinnati Ohio; her sisters Jacqueline Fletcher and Theresa Williams both of Cincinnati, Ohio. Ms. Mickey is also survived by her four grandchildren (Whitney Rennay Moyé, Christopher Miles Moyé both of Atlanta, Georgia; Aaron Salim Moyé of San Francisco, California and Ellis Khalil Moyé of Cleveland, Ohio) and three great grandchildren (Phoenix Burroughs, Savannah Lewis & Kenyon Lewis all of Atlanta, Georgia).
Ms. Wesley attended Kennedy Elementary School and Withrow High School in Hyde Park. She worked at Stanley’s Pharmacy, Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati and Southwestern Book Publishing Company. Ms. Mickey will be remembered for big heart and love of children. After retiring she was a child care provider. She was also known to open her home to young people in need of a place to call home.
Ms. Wesley made well known her LOVE for Kennedy Heights, and was the oldest member of her beloved church First Baptist Church of Kennedy Heights. Ms.Mickey enjoyed playing the lottery and reading the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Viewing ceremony will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am with funeral services immediately following on Saturday August 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Kennedy Heights at 6201 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45213. Interment to follow her funeral service at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
