On June 3rd, 2018, Jacob went to the emergency room with symptoms of severe back pain. After running several tests, our worst fears were realized. Jacob was diagnosed with cancer. Further tests reveled that Jacob has stage 3C Non-Seminoma Testicular Cancer, the most advanced stage of testicular cancer. Jacob's Oncologist determined the best course of action to cure his cancer would be an intensive protocol of Chemotherapy called VIP. This treatment requires us to stay in the hospital for five or six days while the Chemo is being administered. He will then come home for two weeks to rest and repeat the cycle four times. We are so fortunate to have access to excellent medical care and the support of our community to help us through this challenging journey.
