Jacob Caldwell Jacob's Journey

On New Year’s Eve 2018, Jacob Caldwell was admitted to Wolfsons Children’s Hospital. On January 2, 2019 Jacob underwent a spinal tap surgery to confirm a heart wrenching diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. At just 6 years old, this little soldier is already in for the fight of his life. Jacob is a child of God who is active at Restoration Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He is in K5 at Duval Charter at Southside School where he enjoys perfecting his reading skills and making new friends. In his spare time, he loves to play with Nerf games with his cousins and older sister, and is an avid Kentucky Basketball fan. Go Wildcats!

During this tribulation, Jacob has remained a cheerful and positive force despite the prognosis. His never-ending strength and courage are admired by all the family members by his side. The family is humbled by the outpouring of support, love, and prayers from the community.

Notwithstanding his resilience, this life-altering test has just begun for Jacob’s parents (Dean and Tara). Dean and Tara will have to put their careers on hold during this time in order to stay by Jacob’s side day in and day out. This will likely prove to be a significant financial burden to their lovely family. Anyone willing to help with the abundant expenses associated with Jacob’s journey would be greatly appreciated. After a lot of consideration we have gone the route of setting up a Venmo account. You can see the scan code below or account name is @Tara-Caldwell-16

A Facebook page “Jacob’s Journey” has been set up to keep all his prayer warriors informed of the updates.
