Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As many of you know Jacob experienced severe chest pain on Sunday night 6/21/2020.  He was rushed to the hospital where he was found to have an enlarged aorta which was dissecting.  He was airlifted to Methodist Hospital where a cardiothorasic surgeon Dr. Stark met him at the OR and the team got to work repairing Jacob's heart.  Patient was in the OR for 13 hours.  Late Monday afternoon he was placed in ICU.  They have been allowing one parent to be present every day amidst the Pandemic visiting restrictions.    They attempted to remove his breathing tube on Tuesday, Jacobs breathing became rapid so early Wednesday Jacob was incubated again.  He has remained sedated and on the ventilator since.

The love and support of the Community, our friends and family have been so gracious, loving and comforting.  Joe and Nicki will try to update this at least daily if not twice a day or we have something exciting to report!! Jacob is expected to be home if all goes well sometime next week.  Thank you for all the continued prayers and for reaching out to us.
