Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Jack was in a horrible motorcycle accident on Saturday morning, July 21, 2018. He sustained many injuries including a fractured skull, facial fractures, 2 broken vertebrae, broken collarbone, broken femur in several places and his left foot from right above the ankle is severely damaged.   Two emergency surgeries were performed the first day. The first and most critical  was brain surgery to repair the skull fracture.  They went in and put a plate in Jack's head and installed a drain to help with the swelling and the bleeding . The second surgery was on the partially severed ankle and foot. They stabilized it the best they could. It currently has a wound vac working to keep blood flowing and try to keep it as healthy as possible.  They'll eventually have to make a decision in the coming days as to moving forward with multiple surgeries to try to keep the foot, or moving forward with prosthesis .  He is in a sedated state for now while they monitor brain swelling and a dissected artery in his neck that is causing mini strokes. He is on a ventilator, but it is the plan to get him off in next day or so.  They are doing multiple CT's and MRI's daily to monitor the status of the brain and the neck.  He is a young strong man and we are all praying for the best outcome. Please pray for Jack and his parents, Dawn and Chris and his sister Bailee.
