In just 16 years, this hockey phenomenon has touched lives all across North America. Know as the "Swan on Ice", Jackson Howell has been a treasured teammate to every organization that he has been a part of. More importantly, he is a beloved son, caring brother, loving grandson, witty nephew, and a heroic cousin.
On October 5th Jackson was doing what he loves most when he was injured during a hockey game and was taken to the hospital. While X-rays and a CT scan cleared him of any injuries due to the on-ice collision, the scan revealed a tumor in Jackson's brain. And an extensive MRI revealed an additional tumor in his brain and 2 more on his spine.
He has started his treatment plan and will be headed back to Idaho in the coming days to be near family and to heal.
