On Friday, October 26, Jack fell and broke his right hip. Surgery was performed without complications on Saturday morning. Once he had walked with a walker consistently, he was transported to a rehab facility in Florence. 

We will skip some details here...after several falls at rehab and some very difficult days, Jack returned to the hospital on Saturday, November 17.  After a CT scan it was determined that he had developed a hematoma in his hip joint and it was causing immense pain and restricting mobility.  The following days have been a roller coaster requiring emergency surgeries, days in the ICU, and a roller coaster of emotions. We hope to update the journal to allow you all access to what is going on here without the need for millions of texts.
