There were many happy times and some sad times in the year 2016. Spending time with her grandchildren is one of Jackie Sue’s favorite things to do and she spent lots of time between Lincolnton and New Jersey visiting with Jami and David and their children. In June of 2016, Jackie Sue’s sister in law, Jackie Allen, became sick and she spent lots of time with Jackie A. until August 4, 2016. Jackie A. finished her journey on earth and now flies with the angels in Heaven. Jackie Sue and Jackie A. had a very close relationship and Jackie Sue was saddened by her passing and just couldn’t seem to get herself back to 100%. In December, she went for her yearly physical and was diagnosed with kidney cancer which has spread to her lungs. This news devastated her and her family and close friends, but once the shock of the news was over, the doctors quickly came up with the plan of treatment for her. Jackie Sue covets your prayers as she takes this journey to heal her body. One of the Bible verses that gets all of us through these times is: “May the God of Hope give you peace and joy as you trust in Him.” Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.
