Jackie Overkamp

As many of you already know, Jackie was taken off all treatment for her metastatic breast cancer a couple weeks ago. Years of chemotherapy and metastasis to her liver caused significant damage and essentially put her into liver failure.  Her oncologist told her and Jeff it was time to prepare for the end, and later that week Jackie was placed on hospice care.  Many of the preparations with hospice and decisions were made by Jackie herself, as she was very much her typical "I'm ok" self. However, within a week and  a half of withholding treatment, Jackie became quite weak and  confused. She seems to decline a little each day, but keeps her amazing spirit and attitude through it all. She continues to worry more about everyone else, often asking if there's anything we need and if we're all ok. The outpouring of love, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time have been more than we could have ever asked for. Thank you all for your support.
