First, thank you for your love and care for our mom! We are so grateful for the community of people around her that have shared words of encouragement and prayers!
In August doctors discovered that Mom has stage four gallbladder cancer that has moved into the liver and wrapped itself around her bile ducts and the main blood vessels to the liver. Gallbladder cancer is very unique and sneaks up with usually no symptoms. She is currently receiving chemo treatment for two consecutive weeks and then has a week off before reengaging. Please pray for the treatment to be effective in hindering the cancer growth and for side effects to be minimal. Pray also for strength of spirit, emotions and mind as she walks this difficult path. We know the Lord is with her providing His peace and courage through this journey. Even throughout this difficult time, Mom has been encouraging and praying with her nurses for their needs! Her bright and encouraging spirit has shown through.
