Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Jackie will have surgery at Duke Medical on Thursday, January 5, 2016 to remove her bladder. Since 2006, Jackie has endured a variety of surgeries, treatments, and therapies to prolong her life. This is a complicated, five-hour procedure intended to restore quality of life; however, it is not an elective surgery due to kidney issues not improved by other therapies.
We will again use CaringBridge to keep friends and family informed of her progress. Great medical care, a God At Hand, and the prayerful love of countless friends and family have strengthened Jackie to this point. We are counting on these same forces to get her through another challenge. Thank you, and thank God, for loving us through one more valley.
