Welcome to our CaringBridge website.   We are using this web page to keep family and friends updated in one place.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.   Thank you for visiting and here is Jackie's Story.

During Jackie's annual mammogram on Oct 5, which she was always very diligent in scheduling each year, Proscan Pink Ribbon Center recommended additional images.  After additional images were taken, the spot being seen needed to be biopsied.  After results were confirmed, Jackie and Mark were notified on October 28 that she had breast cancer in her right breast.  The cancer is/was small 9 mm in size with good treatment possibilities.  After multiple opinions, Jackie decided to have it removed ASAP.  On Nov 17, Jackie had surgery to remove the cancer and reconstruct her breasts.  In combination with the cancer removal, Jackie had a breast reduction to normalize the sizes.
